Now I remember what happened. I found this photo when going through my old stash of photos looking for some to blow up to share at the reunion. Bev was gorgeous, wasn't she. Just the prettiest little thing. No wonder I fell in love. And fell hard! I knew I wouldn't get a better offer.

Pretty woman...

Woods ride...
This morning was a great morning for a ride in the woods. My mountain bike took me around Bill's Creek Loop although the soft soil made the effort greater. Leaves are falling from the Sweet Gum trees and cover the trail in spots. The long leaf pine needles have begun to fall. With the foliage thinning, the views of the lake are opening up. Fall colors are slowly appearing but are still 2 weeks off from peak. Our efforts to clear roots on that section are making a difference.
I met Keith Ginn on the excavator out near the beginning of the loop. He is working his way through, clearing the duff and debris from beside the trail. With a few more rains and some leaf fall, the edges of the trail will begin to blur and take a more natural appearance.
What with working the trail and riding all the other days, I am TIRED. I am so tired tonight I can't come up with an interesting thing to add to this blog. Perhaps I need a good rest. Maybe I need to take a hammock and hike up to a good point and take an afternoon away from everything. But that won't leave much prep time for everything I need to do this week. Maybe I can just slow down a bit.

What it takes...
Finally I think I am well. After a lot of waiting, I thought I had beat whatever was wrong with me but I didn't. I continued to feel bad for a long time. Now, finally, I am operating pretty much as normal. My last two rides have felt strong and I haven't been collapsing down to sleep as much. I've resumed interest in my hobbies and am looking forward to some Fall activities.
The reunion is coming up soon. I don't know who all may be coming but if Uncles Jerry and Jean come, Mother will be pleased. I know Randy is coming and bringing his Grandsons. I'll have mine there. Maybe we will have the time to have a big sit down and chat. I've asked Alton and Amanda to come. Little Max's birthday is coming on the 30th so we'll have some cake for him.
It will be fun.
