Cold weather is coming...

Just as I had guessed, cold weather will come to Alabama on the occasion of our backpacking trip. James Span talked like we might had the coldest weather of the past 20 years. Not really surprising. I think all the guys will try to do it anyway. We are gluttons for punishment. That is fine as long as no one gets hurt. I have dusted off my equipment and got ready to go. I'll be going unless it is just absolutely impossible. But James did mention snow! That is something I couldn't overcome.

The past 2 days have been awful. I got a round of food poisoning and have been very sick. That all came about the evening after I hiked up to 2 mile mark with my full pack. Then I went to the gym and played racquetball with Sara. I was really tired from all that before the illness came on. I have been really knocked down for a while. My guts hurt. I really am looking forward to getting home tonight, sleeping, and waking up tomorrow feeling more human.

The bike club jerseys came last night. I checked them against my invoice and found a jersey for each member who ordered. I was very relieved. I think they look pretty good. The only blemish is the artwork but, hey, we have them now.
