Bev wanted to ride the mountain bike tandem today. So I got out there early and used a big screwdriver to bend that timing crank back to straight. I read about doing that from the Sheldon Brown website. I wouldn't have known if it was possible or advisable, but the cost of a new one was going to be prohibitive. But the clunk is back when it is under load. I'll put the new front bb in and see if that fixes it. If not, it is time to grease the seatposts and tighten the pedals.
Our ride today wasn't that long but we did ride for almost 2 hours. I didn't realize how tired it made me till I got home and sat down on the couch. Right now I am practically keeling over. The combination of lower calories plus biking is kicking my butt.
