With things being the way they've been, it has been a different kind of summer. We have taken the boys camping to Blue Springs and the Smokeys. We have spent a week in Florida. They have enjoyed several movies. I would say they've had a wonderful summer vacation.
But now school starts for another term in the morning. With that I'm planning to begin a program of riding and dieting to effect a proper change in myself. It is the same change I've made several times, but this time I've lapsed too much. I have good reasons to get back to my former weight. Chief among these is the stash of new clothes which will fit me.
Bev will be heading off to NC for a quilting convention soon. I will be heading toward Tennessee for some cycling. There remain a lot of things before this year's work can be put to rest. I have the furniture I built for Bev to finish up. The new deck needs to be built. So many projects that were put on a back burner because Nikki's house needed to be redone.

Continue to battle for loss...
So here I am with the ongoing battle to lose some weight again. This time I've allowed my weight to creep up to 220. Over the time of the illness, I didn't do enough to offset the food intake. Then came the Holidays with all that eating. Then came the New Year with poor riding weather followed by Chris's decision to leave Nikki arriving just before the premier event of our riding season. After a Spring and Summer off the bike, I am looking ahead to Fall and better riding opportunity. And with better eating habits, perhaps I can survive Thanksgiving and Christmas without adding to the total.
