Joe Castleberry and I have made running a half-marathon a challenge. Each week we are to one-up each other by doing a longer and longer weekend run until we are up to half marathon length. This past week we both made runs of 7+ miles. I made both a 6 mile and 7 mile run along with many miles on a bike. I'll continue to cross train this way. I expect my bike miles to go up quickly. I could use some weight loss to speed my running. Anyway it looks like I am on my way to achieve my goal of running the Sylaward. At the present rate of adding miles, I'll be there in 7 weeks. Then if I can continue the process, I perhaps can make that goal for the Cheaha 50k.
Effigies are used in grieving by providing a tangible representation of what has been lost, allowing a mourner to connect with who or what they've lost , which can help with the process of acceptance and emotional expression, particularly when the loss is sudden or traumatic; they can be used to focus grief and memories around a physical likeness, offering a sense of continued presence even in their absence
