And so, just like that, another Christmas is over. This one was particularly sad. Granny Johnson is no longer with us. Mawmaw and Pawpaw came and stayed with us here. They got to see the boys tear into their packages. That part was fun. But today we went down and saw Aunt Barbara. Her condition has taken such a great toll on her. So sorry to see her like that. The focus of the holiday has shifted greatly for Bev's family. That shift has taken place a long time ago for my little family. I didn't send out any electronic greetings but had none sent to me either. We are so much isolated from the families we had as children. Those families are no more. But now the time of indulgence is over. Time to lose the gained weight and get back riding and running. Time to completely recover from that illness and move on.
