Touring bicycle

I took the touring bike around and around the neighborhood while Bev walked Meena and the boys rode the scooters. Except for a few minor adjustments, I think I am ready to attempt to load it and do an overnight ride. I have looked at a lightweight sleeping bag for the summer but that might come later. Today is the blast off for weight loss. The bike riding is the initial step. I have a little weight lifting to do then a meditation phase for later. Starting from 230 lbs. Heaviest since 2005. But the weight loss can be done. It is a matter of discipline. I want to be fit more than fat. I just have to submerge those desires for quick gratification and go for the longer term. But I have done it before.

Fist

Joe Castleberry has proposed that I join him and Robbie in a weight loss competition. They are both working toward the first to do a 20 lbs loss. His method will be to eat no meal larger than his fist which is approximately the size of his stomach. I'm going to go along as additional motivation to lose this pesky weight I've gained.
